Instructions for I.P.W Groups 3-10

This week is the final submission week for you. You are to do these final tasks this Friday 12th of September 2008: Go to Computer Lab 1 for SS Class!

1. Change the format of leaving comments to the very basic one which can be attached and accessed from the post = NO TAG BOARDS

2. Your groups will be paired to assess another group's work = You will be graded for this aspect.
- What to look out for:

* relevance to topic subject
* clear and concise explanations
* no plagarizing or copying from other sources or websites
* proper referencing used if any data or facts are used and borrowed from a source
* user friendly navigation and design of blog
* blog design

3. Pairing of groups:

- Dhavy to assess SS Researchers
- Harmonious Society to assess SS Dunno
- Leadership is Key to assess SS Big Boss
- Life in Society to assess Say No To SS
- Say No to SS to assess Life in Society
- SS Big Boss to assess Leadership is Key
- SS Dunno to assess Harmonious Society
- SS Researchers to assess Dhavy

Complete the tasks on schedule and please study hard for the upcoming exams :)

Recollections of Singapore...

It has come to my attention that many students in my Social Studies class are really unaware of major events which rocked our lil isle. Quite embarassing aint it my fellow young Singaporeans? :) So I shall start this post to commemorate recollections of Singapore. A post which will highlight defining moments, our pride, our sorrows and anything worth mentioning on a major scale of course... This side project will be done after our final exams and I will in fact award some superb prizes for the best entries...

To make it simpler for you all just list down recollections of Singapore from 1993 - 2008... So start adding comments to this list whenever you are free or remember something significant. Let me get the ball rolling then...

Please self manage yourselves and make sure everyone is contributing to the work load.

WARNING: READ THIS!!!

It has come to my attention that some of you are NOT taking this project task seriously... Though Mr Zur can be VERY NICE most of the time he can also be VERY VERY NASTY too so please my dears do NOT tempt Fate...

Whilst in the Computer Lab please adhere to these rules and regulations:

1.) Self Manage your groups:
Leaders take control, everyone has their roles to play on top of doing and contributing to the project task proper.

2.) Do not do anything else except the TASK!
This includes surfing You Tube or doing anything else unrelated to the task on the web on the computers. I HAVE NOT STARTED THROWING PEOPLE OUT OF THE LAB YET so dont make me start and I will do it if you give me reason to... This will be ENFORCED and in EFFECT from now on.

3.) Maintain Discipline:
Keep the noise level reasonable even if we are doing groupwork. If I hear people (you know who you are) laughing hysterically and spewing unmentionable obscenities at each other I KNOW you are NOT doing work and so refer to rule number 2 and I bid you sayonara!

4.) Respect Private Property:
You are having exclusive access to Com Lab 1 for the purposes of the I.P.W and as you have observed, everything is brand new which means YOU are accountable if there is a malfunction or if you break anything which includes chairs.

5.) Maintain Proper Procedures:
I believe everyone is able to use the computer proficiently so please boot up and shut down the computer and applications properly. Push in and place back all the chairs which you have moved during your groupwork and DO NOT TAKE anything out of the lab or leave any of your belongings behind.

Please adhere to these rules strictly because as promised I will start ENFORCING consequence Number 2 from now on!!! That said do enjoy the air conditioning and change of environment to complete your project TASKS as groups.
